What is your job at NCR and when did you start here?
I am the Donor Secretary and I started working here in August of 2008.

What is your favorite Bible verse? Reason you like it?
“Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
~2 Corinthians 4:17-18

I love this passage because it is a reminder that even when times are tough we have something to look forward to in eternity.  It is sometimes easy to get too focused and overwhelmed by the things of this world, but God is sovereign and he is in complete control.

Tell us about your family and pets.
I am currently married to a wonderful man whose name is Nathan Wilson.  We got married in April of 2007.  He is a very romantic man.  When he proposed to me he flew us up to Mackinac Island (he is a pilot).  Once we got there we rode bikes around the island, however he had planned a full afternoon at the spa for me at the Grande Hotel.  After the spa treatment he arranged for a horse drawn carriage ride around the island which ended at a bluff that he had reserved for us to have dinner.  As we were watching the sunset he proposed.  J

I grew up in Jackson Michigan and moved to the Gaylord area in June of 2008.  My husband is a pilot for North Country Aviation and it is his job that brought us to the area.  I have three siblings, two sisters and one brother.  I am very close with my family, and I try to speak with them on an (almost) daily basis.  Both my parents and my in-laws are incredible Christian role models that I look up to.

I do not have any pets at this time, however someday plan on having a lab.  Until then my husband and I play with our neighbor’s dog, Mocha, a chocolate lab.

Where else have you lived and worked?
Prior to moving to Gaylord, I worked for two years with an organization called Families First of Michigan.  For this job I worked in the homes of families who were involved with Children’s Protective Services.  I did short term crisis intervention. I assisted the families in getting connected with resources in the community while teaching them life skills with the hope of keeping the family unit intact.  Prior to that I worked in various restaurants waiting tables, coffee shops, and retail stores.

If you could do anything else for a living, what else would you do?
I am currently working on my Master’s Degree for counseling through the Spring Arbor University.   My dream job is to work in a school with children at the elementary and/or middle school level.  I love working with children.  In the past I was a youth leader for junior high kids.  If for some reason I am unable to work with children in the schools, I hope to continue working in the ministry with children.
